In September of 2016, the Center for Victim and Human Rights hired a new staff attorney, Kathryn L. Miller.  We are excited to have her on board and wanted to give her a chance to share a little more about herself.

Here is what we learned through our Staff Spotlight interview with Kathryn L. Miller:

Before working at CVHR what was the most unusual or interesting job you ever had?
My first job was working at the Gift Center at Sears, a sister store to Things Remembered.  I learned how to cut keys and engrave gifts such as frames and jewelry boxes (This was before they had automated machines to do it!).

What are you most excited about in working for the Center for Victim and Human Rights?
The opportunity to advocate for and represent victims of crime as they navigate the justice system.

What is your favorite part about working with the CVHR so far?
I love the friendly and collegial atmosphere and the dedication of the staff to their work.

Are you messy or organized?
Organized

Best vacation you have ever had?
China & Tibet

Do you have a favorite quote?
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.” Proverbs 31:8-9

What do you like to do in your spare time?
Hang out with my two Chihuahuas, Sweet Pea and Capri, and target practice with my father.

What is an ability you wish you had?
To read minds

What is your hidden talent?
I can sing decently.

Wonder Woman Underoos
